Many moons ago, when I officially started
my writing career, I belonged to a forum of writers that bounced ideas off one
another, chatted about their success and frustrations, and critiqued one another’s
work. Back then, they gave me the title of Quill of
Inspiration Wielder and Study Maven: the first because I firmly believe the
regular sharing of inspirational quotes and the encouragement of other writers
is vital to my own success; and the second because, as an author of historical
fiction, I am often researching topics necessary to create realistic stories.
As I reflect upon the
decade since I graduated from Long Ridge Writers Group, having published
numerous articles and two children’s books, I am even surer that each writer’s
success is dependent upon what she gives back to the writing community as a
whole.
Here are some of my
favorite inspirational quotes. I hope you also find encouragement from the
